My musings. Usually, I use this space to talk about what is going on in my hometown, Great Falls, Montana.
I also talk about the State of Montana, Jewish theology and anything else that percolates to the top of my mind. Enjoy the read.

Moroney Natatorium to Close November 18
The Natatorium is now scheduled to close on November 18 for at least a month. During that month, the Nat is scheduled to get a new pool liner and a new gutter system.
I just received an email from Patty Rearden answering the question.
The city received three bids for the project, and intends to present the bids to the City Commission for award at its November 8 meeting. The Nat will be closed November 18 - January 1 to complete this project and do the routine maintenance at the Natatorium. 100% of the funds are coming from a Community Development Block Grant received by the city in the amount of $104,601. The grant application was specifically to do this work.
How much are the repairs costing the taxpayers?
ReplyDeletePer my reading of the city budget and my conversations with Natatorium staff, grants have been received that will pay for 100% of the repairs.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I do not know who is granting the funds. I will ask that question at my next Neighborhood Council meeting and post the answer on this blog.
