Geeguy takes me to task ...

Yesterday, in a post about an unfair and suspiciously timed headline in the Tribune, I asked about the true societal costs of gaming. In response, Geeguy started a discussion about the high taxes already paid by gaming interests. I don't think of myself as an anti-gambling zealot. However, as I posted on his blog, I believe that the true costs of gaming to small businesses and families in our community is higher than the tax revenue we currently receive.

Hopefully, this can turn into a productive and interesting discussion. Go to Geeguy's blog, or this one, and post your thoughts.
